Our Business and Supply Chains

Man With a Van Greenwich provides local and regional removal, transportation and related services. Our activities rely on a combination of directly engaged personnel, subcontracted drivers and logistics partners, and a range of suppliers providing vehicles, fuel, equipment and ancillary services. We recognise that risks associated with modern slavery can arise at different levels of these supply chains, particularly where work is low paid, temporary, subcontracted or migrant labour is involved.

Man With a Van Greenwich has a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, bonded labour and child labour. This policy applies to everyone working for or on behalf of our business at all levels, including employees, agency workers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

We will not knowingly engage with any individual or organisation involved in modern slavery. Where credible concerns are identified, we will act promptly to investigate, take corrective action and, where necessary, terminate the relationship. We expect our suppliers and partners to adopt the same stance within their own operations and supply chains.

Supplier Standards and Audits

To reduce the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains, we require suppliers and subcontractors to confirm that they comply with all applicable labour, employment and human rights legislation. We communicate our zero-tolerance position to new suppliers at the outset of our relationship and reinforce these expectations on an ongoing basis.

We conduct proportionate due diligence and checks on higher-risk suppliers and subcontractors, which may include requesting supporting documentation on employment practices, right to work evidence and health and safety standards. Where appropriate, we may carry out audits or site visits, either directly or through trusted partners, to verify compliance with our ethical requirements. Any non-compliance identified through our due diligence or audits must be remedied within a defined timeframe, failing which the relationship may be reviewed or ended.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels

Man With a Van Greenwich encourages all employees, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns they may have about suspected modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected to our business. Concerns can be raised with a manager, senior leader or through any established internal reporting route. Reports may be made in confidence and will be taken seriously, investigated promptly and handled sensitively.

We are committed to ensuring that no one suffers any form of detrimental treatment as a result of reporting a concern about modern slavery in good faith. Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

Training and Awareness

We aim to build awareness of modern slavery risks among relevant members of our workforce, particularly those involved in recruitment, supplier onboarding and contract management. Training and guidance focus on recognising potential indicators of exploitation, understanding our reporting channels and reinforcing our zero-tolerance approach. Monitoring, Review and Continuous Improvement

This Modern Slavery Statement and the supporting measures we have in place are reviewed at least annually. As part of this review, we consider changes in our business activities, regulatory developments, feedback from stakeholders and any issues identified through our due diligence or reporting processes.

Where areas for improvement are identified, we will update our policies, procedures, training and supplier management practices to strengthen our approach. Our goal is to continually enhance our ability to prevent, detect and address modern slavery risks within our operations and supply chains.
